I am loving this series by Jodi Burnett! Body Count is her 2nd book in the FBI-K9 series, and she not only brings back Rick and Kendra, but she weaves her exciting tale around two characters we got a glimpse of in Book 1. I felt as though I was visiting old friends. I absolutely LOVED Agent Burke. He’s no nonsense, a man in control of his emotions, and honorable through and through. In other words, a hero that had me all in. Susan is his feisty counterpart, a vibrant spirit to loosen up that tight collar of his. Burnett smoothly plays up the sexual tension between these two. Add in a very creepy villain and suspense that takes you on a roller coaster ride, and Burnett has another winning romantic thriller. Eagerly anticipating the release of Book 3 in September 2020!
